Who are we?

US Standard Ammunition is Owned and Operated by a Retired United States Marine Corps Infantry combat veteran, with over twenty –two years of service. Following retirement, I continued a career in the automotive industry for Tier 1 and OEM car manufacturers encompassing operations, and quality engineering. As a Supplier Technical Assistance engineer, I have implemented statistical analysis, problem solving, and Lean manufacturing techniques to successfully integrate a quality system that supports robust error prevention and detection to ensure our product quality.

What is our Mission?

US Standard Ammunition is singularly focused to manufacture the best ammunition available, utilizing components from Hornady, Winchester, StarLine, CCI, Federal, MagTech, Hodgdon, and others. We exceed customer expectations because we are shooters and understand the need for reliable and accurate ammunition.

How do we ensure quality?

To ensure we manufacture our products to the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute specifications, we have implemented Six Sigma methodologies in order to first prevent, secondly detect, and lastly utilize data analysis to statistically monitor the manufacturing process.

For our remanufactured products, we resize and clean our brass and utilize various error proofing technologies to verify, primer removal, swaging, primer installation, and verification of correct powder charge.

For our New manufactured products, we utilize error proofing to verify primer installation, and correct powder charge.

Across all products, we 100% gauge every round to verify correct headspace.

At every start up, we verify all error proofing sensors are properly functioning, every fifteen minutes we collect variable data for powder charge and Case overall length. This Data is collected, entered into a database, and statistically analyzed. The data results provides the statistical capability of the manufacturing process, to consistently produce product that meets the specifications. Further, we continue to analyze the data to identify and correct any special or normal process variation which we use for process improvement. In short our process is capable, in control, and constantly monitored for continuous improvement.

Lastly, all measuring equipment is validated through the use of laboratories that are accredited to the ISO 17025 standard, and or through certified gauge blocks and weights that are validated annually.
